About COR1

About us

COR1 Sports Medicine and Performance, located on the second floor of the Springs Athletic Center, goes beyond traditional rehab to bridge the gap between recovery and true return to sport. Our approach is built around helping athletes not only heal from injury, but come back stronger, faster, and more explosive than before. By combining evidence-based physical therapy with high-level performance training, we ensure every athlete develops the strength, power, and movement quality needed to handle the demands of their sport with confidence.

What we do

We specialize in speed development and performance training through team sessions, small group training, and individualized one-on-one coaching. From acceleration and max velocity mechanics to change of direction and sport-specific conditioning, every program is designed to maximize athletic potential while reducing injury risk. Whether you’re returning from surgery or looking to elevate your game, our system is built to take you from rehab…to performance…to dominance on the field.

Dr. Matthew Oliver, PT, DPT

I received degrees in sports medicine and coaching at Pepperdine University and then completed my doctorate in physical therapy in 2016.  As a physical therapist and performance coach for nearly a decade, I have worked with athletes of all ages and functional abilities, including youth athletes, weekend warriors, Olympians, and professionals.

After having worked in various orthopedic settings,  I always knew that I wanted to blend sports performance and physical therapy and that is why I started COR1 Sports Medicine and Performance. I am an athlete myself, and having spent most of my life playing sports (football, baseball, basketball, rugby, weightlifting, CrossFit), I understand that “rest” is not always the desired or optimal path forward. My goal is to bridge the gap between athletic performance and physical therapy.

My treatment philosophy emphasizes injury prevention, strength training, and long term planning as a means to staying healthy and performing at the highest level.
